| Carivibe 2010 | | | CARIVIBE is an annual celebration of Caribbean culture in the Nation’s Capital. It offers a diverse array of tropical rhythm, cuisine, carnival and culture. Over the years, CARIVIBE has grown into the largest Caribbean event on the local calendar. CARIVIBE patrons are treated to international steelbands who explode with pulsating rhythms and melodies of Calypso, Soca, Reggae and Latin vibes. Caribbean artists and dance groups alongside well known soca, reggae, Latin, R&B and hip hop DJ’s are showcased. There is also an array of classic Caribbean cuisine and beverages available for patrons to satisfy their appetite as well as a showcase of arts, crafts, cultural clothing and accessories from different islands, provided by members of Ottawa’s artistic community. | | Downtown Youth Dance Video | | | | (SKETCH got this message for you...)I wanted to inform you of something really cool coming up for our youth group at the children's aid society of Ottawa. We are looking to do a video for an upcoming Youth Recognition Banquet and were wondering if any youth interested in participating! The video will be shot on SATURDAY MAY 15 and will be shot most likely in downtown Ottawa on one of the streets. We want a bunch of people to participate and do a dance or just join the movement. We are still debating which songs we will do it to, but everything will be taken care of, all youth would have to do is SHOW UP!We got our idea of doing this video from the youtube: Pink Glove Dance and LIPDUB - I Gotta Feeling (Comm-UQAM 2009). Please let me know as soon as possible if any youth you know of have any interest !
